 Child Development Center

Good Shepherd Child Development Center (GSCDC) is a mission and ministry of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, and part of the Good Shepherd school family, committed to the development of the whole child. The purpose is to provide a safe, affordable, quality preschool and child care program to the community, secure in the love of God. The state licensed child development center is a Christ-centered, academic based program for fully potty trained students ages 2 years 6 months to 5 years. Our experienced, loving teachers combine structured, hands-on play activities with developmentally appropriate academic lessons that set the foundation for success in academic learning:

SPIRITUAL              To gain an understanding of God's love and to introduce our friend,  Jesus Christ.

SOCIAL                   To develop cooperative relationships with other children.

EMOTIONAL          To help the child develop a positive sense of self, understand their emotions and express them in a constructive way.

INTELLECTUAL      To stimulate curiosity and a love of learning, develop an understanding of the world and equip them with pre-reading and

                                kindergarten  readiness skills.

PHYSICAL               To develop fine and gross motor skills and coordination through planned indoor and outdoor activities.
